Why Do I Need A Personal Trainer?

Want to get great results from workouts that are tailored for your individual needs? Our Personal Trainers are ready to provide you with professional instruction and a safe, effective, fun workout! We go beyond what you can pick up from an Internet or magazine article. Learn what exercises will really work for your body, fit into your schedule, and get you to your specific goals. With a Personal Trainer, you'll have the benefit of immediate feedback, form-correction, and friendly-but-firm motivation. For more information please give us a call. Kid's Club
We invite you, your family and your guests to take advantage of our Kid's Club! Your children will enjoy a fun, safe and happy play space while you pursue your fitness goals. Workout without the worry! We will keep your child busy with crafts, coloring, stories, games, videos, and free play!

Our Kid's Club staff attendants are all CPR certified. If you are ever needed, our staff will page you.

Our Kid's Club is available for children 4 months to 11 years. Cost is $2 per child, per hour. Each additional sibling is $1 per child per hour.

Members must remain on the club premises while their children are the Kid's Club. No food is allowed--you and your child(ren) are welcome to have food in the lobby. We may limit the maximum number of children in the Kid's Club depending on additional staffing availability. We are unable to accept children who are ill.

Spinning®
An Intense and intensely fun workout! This low impact indoor cycling workout is geared to all fitness levels and abilities. Benefits include increased cardiovascular endurance and lower body strength. See our spinning schedule for dates and times.

Group Exercise Classes

Body Sculpt -
This class is designed to educate you as well as strengthen your body using weights, resistance bands, and balls. Increase muscle tone and endurance while improving posture and balance. Great for all levels, beginning through advanced.

Quigong -
Qigong is the art of managing one's breathing and energy in order to achieve and maintain good health, and to enhance the energy mobilization and stamina of the body. Appropriate for all ages and fitness levels.

Pilates Fusion -
Pilates Fusion is a dynamic workout that blends a bit of Yoga, lots of Pilates, and active stretches with music and props. This workout will help you tone your abs and lower body. The music and easy to follow choreography help to move this class along quickly. People from 18-80 years old love this workout!

Step -
A popular fat burning and heart pounding cardiovascular workout, using a variety of moves: up, down, and around a step bench. This class is choreographed so best suited for those who have Step aerobics experience.

Step & Sculpt -
A great step workout plus upper body sculpting and abdominal training.

Cardio Kick & Abs -
A full body workout that combines the punches of boxing and the kicks of martial arts into a non-contact workout that burns fat and sculpts the entire body. High energy cardio training plus plenty of ab work to keep you In top form!

F.I.T. -
Fun Interval Training is the best of both worlds: personal training and group exercise. With the encouragement of a trainer/instructor, you will reap the benefits of cardio machines, the weight room, and more toning and stretching exercises in the group exercise room. You set your own pace for this total body 60 minute work out. Meet on the cardio floor.

Gentle Yoga -
For members who are just getting started again or those just preferring more modification options.

Power Boxing - Not your everyday cardio boxing class! This class is a high energy, adrenaline pumping, hard hitting workout using gloves, focus mitts, and targets. Partner up for practice and go one on one with the instructor at the end of the class!

Muscle Mix -
A creative mix of sculpting and cardio will get you a healthy heart and a toned body.

Tai Chi -
Tai Chi is a slow and flowing moving meditation, with roots in Taoism and Chinese medicine. The practice of this ancient healing art will help improve posture, breathing, and mind-body coordination.

Pilates -
The core training class that gets real results. Focused exercises linked to the breath, sculpt the muscles of the trunk and hips for greater strength, flexibility, balance, and stability. A class for all levels.

Cardio Sculpt -
A very efficient and challenging total body workout combining simple stepping for fat burning with toning exercises using weights and tubing. Affectionately called "torture with a smile".

Boot Camp -
A cardio and sculpting circuit featuring athletic drills, muscle toning, plyometrics, and lots of core training. The intensity is high and the results are proven!

Zumba -
Zumba is Latin Aerobics. You will burn fat while learning meringue, salsa, cumbia and more! This class will be easy to follow and fun for all!

Cardio Kickboxing -
High-energy, heart-pumping cardio workout that combines punches from boxing and kicks from martial arts to tone and sculpt the entire body. Focused attention on the lower body and core muscles with floor work at the end. Class is suitable for all levels.

Core & More -
Wind down your week with a fusion of core strength training and stretching. This workout will leave you feeling rested, refreshed, and ready to go.

Yoga -
Stretch and strengthen the body. Soothe the spirit. The ancient practice of hatha yoga includes physical postures and breathing exercises for total body wellness. Improved body awareness and posture, reduced back pain, and increased flexibility are among the many benefits of this mind-body discipline. Class ends with deep relaxation to enhance the experience. There are many different styles of yoga, so classes vary according to the instructor.

Karate
Shito Ryu Karate-do is offered at The Club of Mountain View through Pacific Martial Arts. Shihan Rob Avelais teaches all levels of students including children in a friendly, non-competative, family atmosphere. In addition to kihon (basics), kata, and kimite (sparring), training is offered in Iaido (the way of the sword) and Kubudo (traditional weapons) A link to the Karate schedule is located on our Schedules page. Lobby Area
Its an open space and meeting area with tables, chairs, and more. You can catch part of a game on television, read the paper. Keep an eye out for flyers about upcoming special sessions & programs: classes, group training, and clinics. At the nearby front desk, you can get supplies at our mini Pro Shop and pick up your Diet-To-Go meals.

Weights and Cardio
We've got it all, take your pick: free weights, benches, racks, bars, and cables... Weight machines, Stretching areas, Mats, Balls... Stairmasters®, Elipticals®, Treadmills, LifeCycles®... Bring your radio receiver and headset to tune into the audio from the television monitors.

Raquetball
We have 3 raquetball courts available. Call the front desk to make a court reservation. Courts are typically available during normal operating hours. Rental equipment is available. We also have balls and gloves available for purchase. Look for our periodic raquetball clinics and tournaments.

Volleyball and Full Court Basketball
Open full-court basketball is available every day during the week. The court is closed when Volleyball is set up and when karate classes are using the court. You can borrow balls from the front desk--just sign it out.
The basketball court is available for private events. Contact The Club for rental rates and availability.

Boxing / Heavy Bag
A heavy bag and speed bag are set up in the Spinning room. They're available up to 15 minutes before or 15 minutes after a class. A light bag is set up upstairs and is available on a first-come first-served basis. If you don't have gloves, you can borrow our pair.

Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs and Sauna or Steam Room
The men's and women's locker rooms each have their own separate hot tubs. The men's locker room also has a steam room. And the women's locker room has a dry sauna. Enjoy, but drink plenty of fluids and be careful not to overheat yourself :-)

Health Assessments
Talk to a Personal Trainer and check in with yourself. We can discuss overall fitness, nutrition, exercise & wellness programs, and perform body fat measurements.
